You SHOULD plan your life, but sometimes shit happens and you have to be resilient enough to live in the moment as needed.

Steinbeck was right, I've had many a plan go awry in my life and you either have to regroup and try again or just move on.

I plan for the future cause a lot of the things I want require long term investment to achieve, such as understanding the bible, or recovering from emotional trauma or getting in the best possible shape I can.

It's good to have some kind of vague, general plan in place. But I wouldn't spend too much time planning for most situations.
