Should I demand the money the judge ordered my parents to give?

well I've came here to defend a friend but might as well hopefully get some good advice here. *inhale and exhale* last year my parents got my brother a gun to defend the house with since he was visiting from college however since the disowned me for being on my friend side before he went too far over shipping he asked what if I attacked him and told him to do what necessary giving the ok to do what she gonna do next. The day after I had a argument to stop "babying" my friend and after said friend even got on me about it I into discord to apologize but my brother saw me with my phone and demanded to see as if I don't know he planning to cause trouble and start hell with my friend like always I said no knowing what he trying to do but after I did my brother pulled the gun I don't know if he pulled it out to scare me or not but my body moved on it's own trying to knock the gun of his hand in an act of self-defense and we got into a little fight and before I knew went black. Fast forward to a couple months and I'm spare you the boring details my brother plea he was drunk and not 20 years in prison and my parents lost their job after their boss found out they lied about taking time off to celebrate my graduation and on top of that have to pay my for damages for negligence of the last few years. To be honest my parents are struggling I feel bad for demanding the money now but my aunt who I temporarily stayed with before going to college is not having it and is demanding the money even them 30 days to pay it heck even my friend think my aunt going too far with the demands since my folks are struggling right now. So is my aunt right with demanding the money or is she taking things too far?

And before anyone says I caused the gun to go off keep in mind that I felt threatened in my situation and anyone would have done same thing in that situation rather it was just meant to scare or not. Also he lied about being drunk to get a lighter punishment but when me and my aunt tried to get it increased it was declined for whatever reason.

To be honest I struggle to follow the circumstances and think most will. Clearly it is not a good idea to play with guns. I am not sure if he got 20 years in prison because not 20 years is written and that doesn't make sense.

It doesn't seem to follow how your parents are liable for negligence over the past few years. The circumstances around that are less than vague. You need to give more detail. How is your friend involved?

Well for my friend my brother don't let go of something that happened in 2017 it's pretty dumb cause all this happened over a Pokemon shipping war and me being 12 when xy first started I shipping Ash and Serena and obviously sided with my friend who was 18 at the time and that caused my brother to disown me as said in the post and be started going online saying that people who shipped Ash and Serena deserved to die and grape I showed my parents but since the account was under a different name they ignored and said it could have been anyone, as for the negligence besides from ignoring my warnings about my brother they always was at work somewhere abroad for afew months or so leaving me with fend for myself since my brother was off to college so I had to call my grandparents once food ran out to bring me something. Cause really what can a 12 year old do in that situation? But after I got shot and my aunt called and told them they didn't even take a day off of work to come visit me, which says a lot considering they gave my brother the gun in the first place but their excuse in court was that they didn't know he was gonna shoot me with it which in my opinion is when I showed them online multiple times, and keep in mind this all happened over an anime that isn't even about romance.

Wow just wow me and my big sister playfully argued about twilight ships but it was never bad enough to the point it was bad enough for us to try to kill each other and yes I can confirm as someone in multiple fandoms it's normal for toxic people to talk like that when someone goes against their favorite ships and that's just the tip of the iceberg but since they behind the screen their threats hold no weight however it never occurred to me what it was like to live with one of them on the opposite side but guess now I know.

Why would your aunt want the money? And if your parents are out of work because of the actions of you and your brother where will that money come from, I mean you can't get blood from a stone, they cannot give you what they do not have. I think your parents have suffered enough.

Yeah might stay with my friend for a little while once he gets a place since he was there with me during this whole ordeal even tho it was from behind an screen it's was still better than having no one.

I didn't know why a judge would order parents to pay for their son's mistakes. This all sounds made up and fake. Your parents don't owe you anything really

Before they gave him the gun and told him to do what necessary when they ask about me attacking him. There's was also them not believing me about my brother because to them that could have been anyone online pretending to be my brother... and them skipping my graduation and birthday to work so yeah they not only have to pay for his mistakes but also multiple mistakes as well.

No after my friend girlfriend died he used it as an excuse to say that it would happen to me if I continue siding with him and this was over some crap that happened all the way in 2017 but he wasn't as unhinged back then as he is now, and the only time I hit him was when he pulled that gun out in an act of self defense, my friend is kinda over it at this point and is trying to move on with his life and with my brother off both our backs I hope can.
