Have you experienced the full power of a hurricane or a twister at first hand?

Two years ago, my house and five of my surrounding neighbor's houses were destroyed by a tornado. It came on without any warning. We had tornado watches for a few hours but when it actually hit, there wasn't any warning issued yet. As all hell was breaking loose, and I was getting my wife and kids into the basement, my phone started sounding an alarm for a "Tornado warning". The most frightening moment in my life.

hmm, not exactly...

I've experienced both, yes...

but... with both of these, they can go a bit over the Category 5 which is the strongest, and hell no... I would not want to be any way near none of those gusts of winds

gusts are always much more worse and destructive that the sustained winds, which is what gives them their denomination
