How do you know that when you take your vehicle for maintenance, the shop actually did the maintenance? Whey could charge you without doing anything?

Sad because your husbands probably paying for it. That’s why you’re married to him because you want someone to be able to afford shit like this and do man stuff. You don’t wanna risk loosing that unil you’re sure this new dude wants to marry you. Then you think you’re just gonna sweep the rug from under him and start a new life somewhere else.

It’s a small world out there and people talk. You can move 8 states away or to another country and I promise especially in the digital age people can find stuff. Also when cheating can be proven in court many judges/juries side with the person whose been cheated. It could play in your favor if you roll the dice and take everything from a man of God whose been faithful to you. But you could end up homeless. Living in your car. Shunned by everyone. And….. the guy you were cheating with does the same thing to you and leaves you out to dry.

Pick what you wanna do. Even if you’re selfish and have no empathy. You have to have some self preservation. Are you even Christian? Do you know how to repent? Or are you past that. Because if you could genuinely repent of what toure doing and pray through this. I would respect that.

I've been going to my mechanic for 25 years and if he told me the dinglehopper won't charge the flux capacitor I'd be fine with it!

I trust him so much that one time he called me after I had the car in for service and he just said "did you look at your bill?" I said "no why?" He said I charged you $80 for wiper blades. Swing by with card and I'll reverse it".

I also had another time where his Wi-Fi wasn't working and Im the IT guy at home so I took a look at it rerouted and fixed it. The oil change was free. I really did try to argue really wasn't a big deal but he insisted.

If I moved to Antarctica I would still take my car to them for service.

If you’re getting something replaced, ask for the old part back. It guarantees that the replacement is done since they can’t have you leave the garage without a functioning car or they lose business. If it’s something small like rotating your tires or getting your oil changed, you can tell by adding a piece of tape to one of your tires to see if it’s been moved, and for the oil if you get it changed and they show you the stick, the lower the mark the better the oil is in your car.

This is where there is a level of trust and using a garage, dealership that provides a level of trust. If the car is in warranty, then they would be stupid not to carry out servicing, maintenance, as any faults would be covered by warranty. If you check your oil before a servicing and afterwards, you can usually easily spot that it’s fresh oil, the problem is them using the correct oil etc.

Crawl under your car or pop the hood to take a picture of the oil filter, how its screwed on will be different, the words, even if its the same brand, will be in a different place at the base from the angle you take the picture. It will likely be cleaner/newer looking as well, possibly a different color/brand.

I suppose it depends upon what they do, or claim they did. Oil change, brakes and rotors are pretty to check. Other things I will get repaired and then take to a second shop to have the work checked. Worth the $100 or so to me. So far have never had anyone not do what was claimed.

I always hang out there and keep an eye on the mechanic. I know that they could do a wall job on me because once a dealership did it to my wife and I hsd to go a straighten them out.

Ten minutes on youtube and you can learn to change oil, check your brake pads, check tread depth etc.

Pull out your dipstick. if the oil is black it's old. if it's amber like beer, it's new.
Brakes: you'll know when you hit the brake pedal.

Oil takes a long time to turn black, a lot of smaller engines don’t burn through oil that much so the place on the dipstick might barely change, also they might change the oil but not the filter and just say they did, oil filters must be changed with oil (99% of time SOP)
