What is the oldest memory you have of yourself?

A month or so after turning 2.
I have memories of mom going to this dresser we had just inside the front door. There was a huge antique mirror on the wall above the dresser and she kept her make-up in the top left drawer. I saw her putting it on several times, possibly even before I turned 2.
In Sept. or Oct. of that year, 2 or 3 months after my b-day, she had my baby brother & I upstairs in the bathtub giving us a bath. She took me out first and dried me off and, while she was dealing with my brother, I turned and ran out of the bathroom, down the stairs to the first floor and over to that dresser. I opened her make-up drawer and pulled out her red lipstick and started to put it on like I saw her do a number of times but, instead of stopping with just my lips, I continued all over my face, my chest, my arms, my legs and then ran out the front door, still (except for the lipstick) completely naked, and then down from the porch to the sidewalk, over to the alley a house away and all the way down to the end of the alley (a block away) and into the ballfield across the street where Dickie Gannon (a high school boy) and his friends were playing football and I ran into the field to watch them. Moments later, mom was hiding in embarrassment behind a garage at the end of the alley trying to yell at me, in very angry whispers, to come over to her. GET OVER HERE! NOW!! She did NOT want those kids to know that I belonged to her! But, once I spotted her, I stood in the field waving at her and going, "HI, MOMMY!" The kids thought this was hilarious. She yelled at me to come over to her and I guess I did and I can only guess that she gave me another bath as soon as I got home. No idea if she ever used that particular lipstick again.

Early memories are rare unless trauma!

I will skip the trauma. My earliest memory, youngest that i still remember, besides bad, was when that girl in prescool "kissed my cheek AGAIN" like earlier days.

the first kiss i don't remember. But the repetition finally created a memory that lasted.

and contained the kiss and the memory that she did it before!

And that she kissed me with emotion!

she did it because she wanted to show her feelings! Whatever a 3 year old girl can feel.

In contrast to my ma kisses lacked that I noticed different!

ma was like she had to do a chore "kiss son, drive to job" list.

I was 3.

I remember being in trouble for some reason (the reason I don't recall and isn't important). My dad told me to come over to him so that I could get a spanking for it. My little mind went: "if I stay sitting on my butt, he can't spank me." Well. Untrue. He came over and picked me up to spank me.

the first three years of my life I lived with my parents in the city my mom was born...

I can recall memories of walks we did with my dad on the small river bank... I remember mostly winter and spring walks... so I was roughly 2.5 years old as I have birthday in August

I was born in a different country, and I have very vivid memories of those times. One of them being a cloth with a crane and a pitched embroidery hanging on front of my bed. 🤔 I have memories of buying pepsi from the vending machines, particularly one memory when my hand got stuck trying to get the can.

I remember back to when I was 3 years old. My parents got me a pedal car for my birthday and I used to ride it in the driveway. I wasn't allowed to go out into the road.
