What is up with this suspicious Hispanic dude?

He is just sitting on the curb outside the gate of my apartment complex. It is like 11PM at night.

If I call it in as a suspicious person, will that give law enforcement the right to detain and check ID? Maybe he will be deported. Who knows.

Depending upon where you live, they might be able to require he ID himself, but it is just as likely, maybe more likely, that without RAS of a crime they can try to bully him but not get it, if he knows his rights.

At best, if he is not waiting for a ride or something, they might be able to get him to leave if it is loitering where you live.

He prolly waiting for a friend to pick him up or let him inside. I have a friend lives in a gated complex I text when I get there & wait for him to let me in. No way he's the only person u ever see sitting outside the gate like that?

If you see him multiple times over a period of days, it’s suspicious. Seeing him once at night just means you’re probably a little paranoid about strangers, if not a touch racist against hispanic folks I don't know
