Should I join the reserves to be a part of something greater?

I always wanted to go, but let girls or life stop me. I am getting older and will soon be at the age cut-off limit in 4 years. Is it worth joining the reserves at My age? I am currently a lpn going for my rn soon, so I was thinking I could join as a medic.

You probably have a better idea what you are really getting into than the typical 18 year old recruit. You've always wanted to go, but I'm sure you realize that there will be times that you wonder what the hell you joined for. But you also know that millions of others have gone that path and are probably better off for doing so.

I don't think you are too old. I think it will be different at your age than it is for an 18 year old, but I think the advantage of age outweighs the disadvantage of age.

One disadvantage of your young age is that you don't realize how young you are. You have your entire life ahead of you. One day you will look back and realize that you weren't old at all. You will realize that you had all kinds of time to change the direction in your life.

Dude. I am 68 years old. I know that ten years from now I will look back at when I was "only" 68 and wish I had done things while I still could.

Your age is not an issue. If you want to do it, then fucking do it.

I think you're smart enough to weight the pro and cons against each other so you dont have any regrets later.
