Should cops know the law if they are going to enforce them?

It seems that knowing all the law to become a cop isn't necessary or a requirement, it just seems pretty strange, and if it is then why is there so many cops that don't know all the laws, I think maybe it's a small glimpse of how screwed up the system is, is it cause it's a lot of laws to memorize and they wouldn't have many people to enforce them if that was a requirement? and in a completely unrelated note to the topic, why are cops given the roles to say "in the name of the law"

That's so unrealistic, cops never say such a thing, they should at least make it believable, who even made that up, it's more realistic to make the cops yell GET DOWN GET DOWN GET DOWN, DROP THE GUN, DONT MAKE ME SHOOT YOU! not sToP iN tHe nAmE oF tHe lAw! đź’€
