Should people that dont know the law enforce them?

this is a big problem in the US and i personally believe that people that dont know the laws shouldn't have a badge and authority to enforce them, there's many cops that dont know shit about the law and end up breaking them throughout their career and even abuse power, these people shouldn't be cops if they dont know the laws, after all a cop that doesn't know the law they enforce is like a pharmacist that doesn't know medicine, or a scientist thats clueless on science, its stupid, they should at the least teach and test people at the police academies about the laws, you need a high school deploma to be a cop but not knowing the law isn't a dealbreaker?, speaking about a worthless broken system no? 😂

The bigger problem is the complexity of the laws. Even in something as simple as traffic matters, the book they give you in driver's ed is (or was, at my time) barely 150 pages; less than a TENTH of the length of the actual vehicle code. And the tax code, well, I don't have to explain that, do I?

I don't remember who suggested the idea, but I think we should implement a system where for every law we pass, we need to abolish an old one.

most cops I know have a college degree. Most have a degree in Criminal Justice and some have a Law Degree.

in the state I live in the cops get a good raise in pay if the hve a CJ degree and even more if the get a Masters degree. The bad thing is that the programs are kind of a joke. They are easy and just designed to make money and milk the system.

there's a shotgun, AR15, two glocks a taurus g2c and 1000 green tip rounds in my home, i dont need the cop and cherry on top, my state has castle law which means i have the rights to use lethal force, cops are only for the people that can't defend themselves and most cops dont know the law, dont be dumb, a cop that doesn't know the law is not a good cop because they won't know what to do in certain situations, name one home invasion where the cop saved the day, ill wait, cause from what I've heard and seen, they always arrive when the damage is done.

Also, Cops are trained accordingly, but some are trained by bad cops. The results of that is corruption.
I learned this in Federal Government class.

There was a case, I forgot the name, but a cop was investigating. They ended finding out that the person who trained the guy was racist. So, he took the racist mentality into his work, and hurt people.

I mean, they have to go to an academy, and the training is intense. Not as intense as the military, but it is moderately intense.

They do teach them the law in the academy. Now, it is up to the cop to use what he was taught, and improvise appropriately.
