Yes. My degrees (bachelor's and master's) are in biology. For instance, during the pandemic, I would try to explain to people about viruses and vaccines. Some would absolutely not listen, even though they maybe had their last biology class in high school 20+ years ago, if they even passed it. I also did my graduate research in herpetology, and I had a coworker one summer tell me that they had cottonmouths (a venomous snake) in the river next to his house. These snakes don't get within 300 miles of my hometown, but he thought I didn't know what I was talking about. After trying to tell him for 10 minutes that he was seeing nonvenomous watersnakes in the river by his house, I gave up and told him he must be right, and I was wrong. What can you do?

Not really an expert moment but just one of "I know more about this than you moment"

Anytime somebody tried to argue with me about psychology and they didn't study it at all. I graduated with my degree in psychology so I've definitely heard some nonsense talked about as if it was fact And it was completely wrong. I corrected the person, they still tried to act as if they were the expert until I revealed to them I actually had a bachelor's in psychology.
