there's no need to prove yourself when objectivity is involved because it doesn't matter how much others despise, they can't argue against the truth

for example the sports team you hate wins the championship. no matter of hate from haters changes the fact they won

That can be a double-edged sword.

It can cause one to elevate their own skills and character. A good thing.

On the flip side, it can be a soul-damaging way to live. Further words on that escape me at the moment.

Yeah. My dad raised me to absorb and monopolize attention because he was raised in a secular family where reputation is your blueprint and your purpose in life. Undoing that idea was tough, cause I had been programmed to seek attention ever since I was old enough to talk.
