Guys, if you were a father and you had a son… Would you be able to teach your son to be smooth and give proper “game” in how to approach ladies?

I am wondering if, as a father, would you try to teach your son some "game" or unique techniques for approaching and flirting with women, in order to help him stand out from the typical awkward or cringeworthy ways a lot of guys try to hit on girls these days.

Hell no , that’s not a father’s job. Part of my role who be to impress upon him how to be a man in the sense of preparing him for the world we live in whilst being objective and supportive as I could.
as I see it it’s generally the female influence in his life that would teach / impress upon him about women developing that emotional intelligence that may help prepare him in some sense.
The rest will fall upon his peers together with his own understanding.

I would show him an example of integrity, friendship, leadership, reaching out to those in need, pushing yourself out of comfort zones to do what’s right, and being a voice for those without one or not skilled enough to use it… I’d show him how to treat people of all backgrounds and ideas with kindness, respect, dignity, and empathy.

These qualities would make him confident in who he is and how he is portrayed amongst his peers allowing him the abilities to captivate a woman’s heart. A man can be stern, strong, and confident though remember to also showcase his soft side, his warm welcoming inviting presence, and compassionate mindset. The ladies love that.

I was raised by a single mother who I had great admiration for... But she didn't teach me anything about pursuing women.. Wouldn't make much sense if she did, since women don't really pursue other or even men.. A mother could reach her son about what women like, and give her personal experience on the nature of women, but not how to have "game"..

Knowing about women and know how to get women are two different things. Most women know about the nature of women but couldn't teach a man anything about how to pursue one.. I've listened to women and they steered me in the wrong direction. There are women who can show a men tips on how to whoo women.. It makes sense that somebody who pursued would teach somebody how to pursue.. Not that all men know how to.

I agree most men suck at pursuing women, especially nowadays.. But a father happily married to the mother could teach his son how he went after his mother.. Like I mentioned I believe that women could give tips on how to go after women, but it doesn't make sense to rely on the mother for that.

Well, uh that's not exactly how it works.. Guys approach women because of our nature.. I've been approached by more gay men than women for sex and beyond. It's not a power move to be the approaches many times.. It can be nerv wracking, and the power is usually in the recipients hands.

I've got to agree with @Joshydavid25 on this one. I've consistently received bad advice from women about how to pursue women. One thing that my mom was right about though was cooking for a woman and how to cook. She taught me how to make a couple of fancy meals to impress dates when I was in High School. Cooking for a woman is WAY better than taking her out when it comes to getting laid (thanks mom).

But the initial pickup is brutal and I don't think other women have a clue how ridiculous it is to have to approach a stranger, interrupt whatever they're doing (because if you wait for them to be doing literally nothing, you'll spend your entire night staring at them like a creep) and then have to come up with a brilliant, original line that doesn't sound cheesy and makes them want to give you a chance. If you're a very good looking guy, you can pretty much say anything, but for normal guys, even above average guys, it's not fun.

And I can put myself in the shoes of an attractive woman, It's got to be like having telemarketers constantly interrupting your day, but it brings out a nastiness in the responses, which are designed to make men feel like shit. So go cold call dozens of people as a telemarketer and then go out and "have confidence" and "not overthink it." It's brutal, trust me.
I did have luck with the approach, but only when I was kind of a dick. For some reason women seem to respond better to that (which sucks because it's an act and I don't like behaving that way). The real relationships I've ever had (and I'm married now) have always come from meeting via a mutual friend or at a party at a friend's house, etc.

However, I can and will teach my kids morals and to respect everyone they interact with. I will also teach them to be courageous and to not be afraid to shoot their shot (as long as they're respectful). I'd rather not have my kids regret not at least trying in life.

I am probably quite an average guy but I have done well with women and when I hear women complain about awkwardness from men it almost always is because they said something overly sexual very quickly or crossed their boundaries in some way.

I wouldn't teach my son "game" because that's a weird relationship to have with your child. I'd teach him to treat women well and the rest would come from that.

To clarify, I feel that it's weird to teach your son "game" because it's teaching him that a woman is a prize to be won. "If I press these buttons, I get sex".

The truth is there's no one size fits all recipe for attracting women because they are all different. Being confident, warm and chivalrous doesn't hurt. But the basic ingredients of all those things can be instilled by good upbringing and example.
