All apologies, I miss read the question and selected no. Sorry for the misinformation I encourage our sons to respect their father and certainly back him up when I feel like he is in the right. There was a time when they showed a lack of respect, because they knew that I make more money than him, and we tried to nip that right in the bud. They now understand that their father has sacrificed part of his career to be more available to them to do his part in their upbringing. I think sometimes parents get competitive for the attention of their children, and this can lead to too much favoritism. Something tells me that can lead to a disrespect for either parent.
He wouldn't need my permission to respect his father?
He should show his respect to both parents.
What does the sex of the child have to do with it? Whatever the sex of the child is, they should respect their parents. Unless the parents are bad (abusers, etc).
I'm seeing a trend with your line of questions.
No parent should ever discourage their child from being respectful of the other.
And I don't agree that they should be teaching that.
And personally, I've never actually seen this and I have 2 sisters.
What do you classify as disrespectful?
@SecretsofKB he's just a troll always on about women hating or not respecting their male kids.
It's not about allowing him to? It's about what the son decides to do.
