Yes, my son became my number one priority in life (Even more important than my wife) and I was obsessed with protecting him and caring for him. I worried about him constantly until he became a teenager. Now he's very independent.
I would absolutely be emotionally attached to my kids if I had them. Those that say men can't be nurturing are idiots.
