Well, thinking about it: your parents is your first basis on how you know what love is. Sure there are romance stories and shows that can be watched, but those aren't real. I imagine children learn how to love someone else and what it actually means from their parents, so having a missing parent would leave a gap in that area. I imagine it would be hard for a girl to determine if a man actually loves her or hinder her ability to show love for a man?
My relationship with my mother definitely affects my relationship with women. But I can't blame my mom for everything, I need to learn to trust others sometimes rather than trying to control everything, because real love requires trust.
Maybe just a bit. I don’t know exactly where my guard came from when I’m with guys but it’s always been there. I have never fallen in love and always end up ending any relationship on some dumb little things. It sucks but I can’t help it so now I just date. Maybe someday I will find the “one”.
I am kinda similar. But a bit more extreme.
I think it makes me guarded about opening up emotionally
Can you trust man you love completely? Do you feel safe enough?
I hope to get there one day
