It depends, when it comes to survival for example, an advantage is an advantage and there's nothing cowardly on looking for an advantage, after all being a badass doesn't matter if you are dead, there's a smart move just how there's impulsive moves and when you have an opponent their weakness is usually where your advantage is, now if you are talking about in everyday stuff when it comes to taking advantage of someone for something or something in that area, it is cowardly if the other options are confrontation or honesty etc.

So it depends on that game thats being played of that makes sense, in some games there's strategy and in others there's right and wrong moves, depending on what the game is, then there might or might not be cowardly moves.
