Reputable sources would like University websites and newspapers or newspapers like the Washington post or New York Times or websites that end in. gov.

You may have a reputation, but that doesn’t make you a reputable source. I have a reputation but does that mean I don’t let my own biases and opinions affect me or that I’m giving people the correct information all the time? No. All that me (or you) having a reputation means is that someone knows me (or you) for something.

Reputation and Reputable may have the same root word,, but the meanings are totally different. It's easy to GET a reputation, it's hard to EARN being a reputable source.
