Did you ever see a wrong way driver?

Oh yes. A number of times.
I've also been in a car with an idiot who did this. I was young and it happened to be my brother in law, borrowing my mother's car to drop her off at the airport. It was night and raining also.
@dustybiker2
So fortunate that you are still with us
Yes. And thank you. My sister and her husband also, surprisingly.
@dustybiker2
You’re welcome
Yes I've seen it multiple times and I've also done it once before ☠️ I noticed right it right away and was able to turn around fast

Yes, at approximately 2 am on I-95 in Georgia, as I was returning home. Scared the hell out of me!
Lmao, I actually gave one a ride home.
I was driving home from work (at a bar) at like 3 AM. I was off the highway and taking a local route, 2-way traffic, one lane on each side.
I notice a car ahead of me is driving the same direction, but going the wrong way on the other side of the street. Thankfully it was so late and no one else was on the road.
I was trying to think how to handle it. I don’t usually call police, as a matter of principle. But I was also like “someone might die.” And I also knew it would take a while for a cop to even locate them and stop them.
So I took matters into my own hands, and sped up to get alongside the car. I pulled behind them real quick to flash my lights at them, then got beside them with my window down, and I was motioning to for the guy driving to roll his window down.
He does, and I yelled to him, “bro, you’ve been driving the wrong way for like a mile! Pull over up here!”, referring to a parking lot of a union local’s headquarters. Luckily, he listened.
I went up to the car and was like “brother, what the fuck is going on, man? Are you faded?” I think he was like “I’m trying to get home, bro”, and I could tell he was hammered.
I asked him where he lived, and it was in my town. I told him to turn his car off and leave it in the lot, I’d give him a ride. He fortunately agreed. So, I gave him a lift home. He was only like five minutes out of the way. When he got out and walked up his steps, he was so wobbly, I couldn’t believe he even entertained the idea of driving🤦♂️ Just glad to be able to have helped the situation and maybe saved a life or two. A car did come the other way once we left, so that could’ve been a nasty collision.
I've seen plenty of old people and Canadians drive on the wrong side of the road in south Florida. I don't understand why Canadians do it so often given they drive on the same side of the road as us. I guess they are just unfamiliar with the area. Either that or they drink too much... or maybe they are people from the UK that fly to Canada and rent a car there and drive through America on vacation... Who knows. It's generally something I've seen early in the morning when turning left at traffic lights where there is a median between the sides of traffic on a 4-6 lane road. They end up in the left lane of the right side of the road and you start taking your turn and all the sudden there is a fucker driving right at you at like 30 mph and you have to dodge them.
It was New Years Eve at 6PM and I was driving home. This was a long time ago because I was driving my scout. I was on a secondary road where the speed limit was 30. It was snowing out and the roads were slippery. A car was in my lane coming at me. I swerved and started to fish tail. I slammed on the brakes and reached down and engaged the 4 wheel drive system. I let up on the brakes and applied the gas and pulled out of the skid. I drove up on somebody front lawn and after the guy went by I backed off and went home
Yes! It was at night and pouring rain and I was getting off of the freeway and another car was getting ON the OFF ramp and she ended up on the side and I just went on home.
Scared me helf to death to see headlights coming towards me when getting off the ramp.

A few times & the last time was an old lady that couldn’t see over the steering wheel driving up an off ramp coming towards me. After that there was a police chase & some joker almost hit me head on. Nowadays some cities & where I live have wrong way alert systems that notify the police of wrong way drivers.
Not directly related but a couple weeks ago, I was on a 4-lane sidestreet, I was in the middle lane a minivan pulled directly in front of me from the right lane and cut me off doing a U-turn where I had two seconds to slam my breaks into a sliding stop. Some people should have their license revoked.
Yes me after moving to the us. It took me a while to adjust to driving on the right as I naturally instinctively drive on the left.
Where are you originally from?
@Bklynbadboy12 Philadelphia
Okay cool
I once witnessed an out of state driver. Turning onto an eastbound lane. Headed westbound. He was driving at a high rate of speed. When I finally caught up to him. He was DOA under a tractor trailer. Turns out. He had just celebrated his final birthday!
I did in Barbados. A car almost had a head on collision with the bus we were in. But it's expected because traffic there flows the British way, and they get a lot of tourists from the U. S. and they get confused, so the drivers are trained and prepped for these sorts of situations.
Always believe what you see when you're driving. People get into fatal accidents because they will see something like a car coming the wrong way and not believe it. That hesitation kills them.
Also always pause when the light turns green to avoid the speeding car running the red light in the other direction.
One time I did they were going down the service road on the wrong side, but at least there was two lanes and I was in the right lane and they were coming down the left lane so nobody got hit. Hopefully, they realize it by the next intersection
I live on a one way road. I see it all the time. There's no turn signs, one way signs, wrong way signs... People somehow miss all of it and turn head on into traffic at least a few times a week.
Three times (twice on the Autobahn) so far and each situation was fucking dangerous!
@drygermanguy 🥰
Yeah it was crazy. There was this old guy like 75+ driving the wrong way in the fast lane of the expressway with his hazards flashing going about 45mph. If he didn't cause an accident I'd be very surprised.
Yes in Virginia on the Interstate and the car came off the off ramp in the wrong direction as well hitting an Amazon van going onto the on ramp
Crazy shit !
Mostly cyclists. Only car driver I saw was an idiot who insisted everyone else was going the wrong way and should back up a one way street.
Yeah, I'd been riding a bike your years before I found out that we're suppose to go with the same direction as traffic and that stop signs also apply to us

yes, they think it's ok and normal to turn suddenly across but i was like :" fuck u bitch, why is rule made for?"
Yes. Used to happen frequently near OCC near one of the Merrimac exits. The exit had a No Left Turn sign that was obscured by a tree and people would think one lane was east and the other was west. Both were west.
I did it but it was the GPS I didn't realize it was a one-way.
@caroline005
Oh no
My wife in driver training pulled out into the near westbound lane heading east.
I grabbed the wheel. Yikes.
Sure did. I almost hit him head on as I was heading home about a mile from my house. Thank God I avoided it. God was watching out for me
yeppers, as well as their results when it goes wrong.
Yes and how they got going the wrong way on a divided 4 lane highway I will never know.
Come to India you can see on daily basis 😁😁😁
Fortunately I have never seen a wrong way driver
@jennz6 Luckily for me... NO
@bricealan I’m glad you are okay 💕
Jen
Yes I have and they are usually drunk drivers during holidays
Yes, a few! Freaked me out!
Once
I didn’t realize it until the car passed me in a different lane on a highway. When I realized what happened I slowed down to about 30 mph due to being in shock.
Yes I have seen many times
Yea I've seen a few before lol
For real?🤣🤣🤣
Yep they look like they are panicking so I assume they were lost and could keep track of the road or something lol
Lost for surely lost… that’s an understatement… it’s more like their mind is whack
I can't say I'm sure how they think but they drive on the wrong side sometimes 😂
Yeah 👍
Yes it happens all the time in New York State. With deadly Consequences.
Ummmm. No comment. 🙈
Thankfully no!
