What are the reasons that make people question your intentions?

Some of my guy friends just like to give me shit once in a while. No big deal and we laugh it off bc it's actually healthy to reflect and question through someone else's perspectives.

Girl friends often question with a cattier purpose in mind so it's not "all water under the bridge" at the end of the exchange and you end up with a lot of distance forming between you and whoever the other woman is.

Then there are those who question your intentions behind your back -- for the sake of idle gossip.

You can't control whether or not a person will question your intentions. You can only make sure that your intentions are always pure.

For one, a lack of openness can breed suspicion and make people question your motives.

For me specifically it would be if I don't do what they require me to do. Require in the sense that they'll treat me poorly if I don't do it. I tend to be disagreeable in this way. If someone expects me to do something in that way, I'll have strong desires to do the complete opposite. Even if it puts me at a severe disadvantage.

Being nice and polite. But that comes from them not trusting because they had been used or abused. So I don’t hold it against them….
