In terms of architecture, do you prefer this style of city or cities with lots of tall towers?

I do like like the European style of 4 to 5 levels. I think it goes back to Roman days. It is practical to walk up that many stairs but much more is possibly what sets that height.

I dislike the glass towers in the second. Whilst my own apartment block is modern concrete tilt up because it is intended to look Italian, it just has 3 to 4 levels. So I put my money where my mouth is.

Each have their own pros and cons

I've lived in the lower one and can say it's great for convenience and cosmopolitan.

The upper one more spread out though is pleasant for those who seek to get away from the bustle and crowded rat race of existence.

The first is classic and has calming, charming qualities. The sort of place a person would want to walk through in the morning with a cup of coffee or bike through on a peaceful afternoon. Love it.

The first picture is a lot more interesting. Unfortunately the USA does not have several hundred years of historic architecture in any of its cities.

I prefer good conserved old towns. Skyscrapers look like termite hills with LED lights. Such tower buildings have surely legitimacy because of land price they stand on but I don't see there any aesthetic or prestige.

I actually like both.. The old style and the new style.. I guess that would make sense as a city boy.. Big city sky scrapers look beautiful at night.. But I'm sure your town does too..

Definitely the first one. Classical is timeless. Modern cyberstyle cities look really cool from a distance but being in them is nauseating.

The first. I'm use to large cities that are spread out and not up. So 4 or 5 story buildings are the tallest you normally see.
