Those excessively tall buildings give me the willies. You can't walk up the stairs to your residence and if the elevator breaks, you're screwed. A couple of floors is reasonable. Dozens to hundreds. Not so much.
Haussman looks nicer. Impressive as they are Skyscrapers stike me as cold coperate places
Hausmann style 100%. Back in Rome tenements were 4 floors and it is still the case in much of Europe. This height of building is appealing and practical without lifts. Sometimes called walk ups.
There's a place for both but give me a walkable city designed for HUMANS not cars
I appreciate both for different reasons! Skyscrapers amaze me with their modern architecture and ability to shape city skylines, while Haussmann style offers timeless elegance and character, especially in cities like Paris. If I had to choose, the classic charm of Haussmann's designs might win my heart a bit more. 🏙๏ธ😊

Definitely the second one. 😂
You CAN, that is true. But I thought you were asking in regards to aesthetics
I know๐
by the way, I saw a travel show on Bordeaux a few days ago. I almost apologized to you one time, but now I stand by what I said. ๐There was a nice cathedral, gate and a couple nice streets, but aside from that, nothing impressive. And outside the city she showed nothing but wineries.
I TRIED to like it, but I'm sorry, it's so boring. I fell asleep during the show๐
My dad liked it though, but I think a little less after seeing the show. He finally admitted the architecture is too monotone and straight๐
I like colors and elaborate facades.
Palace of Varssailes (I'll never learn how to spell that), is also ugly and boring. I don't know why people love it so much.
Still better than skyscrapers though.
If they got their degrees from an American school, I wouldn't consider them a credibile source๐
Bad taste?

I'm familiar with it, but do it for others. Include the overseas departments and maybe even territories.

I thought I did one about the French islands, but apparantly not. I have this one too though
This Is Africa Too: Europe's Last African Strongholds โ
On the EUROPEAN continent, you may be right. Though Italy is also a strong contender.
I googled it, and most sources say Romania, but I disagree. Romania doesn't have islands and volcanoes or mountainous coast.
I would still say ITALY, but Spain is probably second, and France is probably third. If we're only talking about the European continent.
If you include the Canary Islands though, than I can agree with Spain.
Haussmann style
