What do you think is the worst and best thing about being an adult?

The worst part about being an adult is going to be the things you were not prepared for as a kid. Just not prepared or taught how to handle the new situations and now you have consequences that you didn't have before. It's going to suck.

I loved just picking a fist fight when I was underage or fucking any girl I want, now there are age restrictions, and that fist fight could land me in jail with fines and a criminal record. I no longer get a ride from the Sheriff to Mommies house after a fight... I get to sit in a cell and watch other assholes like me shit in front of me.

Something as simple as how to do your taxes isn't going to be so easy if you weren't taught how to lower what you pay by 50%. Adulthood can suck. Weren't treated like a slave as a child? a 9 to 5 is going to hit you like a ton of bricks.

I won't list out all the differences of what was good or what was bad... but hell yeah there was a lot of differences between the two.

Worst part: You have to deal with all the consequences of how you grew up. When you're still in adolescence you might have a lot of problems but you can push some of them back because you're not an adult yet. But as an adult there is no next step you have to deal with whatever happened. Whatever thing where you needed help but didn't get it or something that could have been different. It's too late now. This is who you are and you have to deal with it.

Best part: When things are going well it feels good :) I'm socialising I'm getting things done I'm going outside for a run. It feels like yes I'm doing it :) Or just being in my apartment and not having to do anything or just cooking a nice dinner those are also nice.

The worst thing about being an adult is the realization that almost everything is out of your control. You have to work hard to achieve the things you want in life and there are limits to what you can achieve no matter how hard you try based on your status in life. It's all about who you know and where you are in life that will make your life easier.

Now on to the best thing about being an adult. The best thing about being an adult is that you get to choose who you want to be in this world. You can choose to be a good person or a bad person. The choice is up to you but the big thing is it's ultimately your choice! Choice is everything. We don't get that when we're children. So it's definitely fun to get to make decisions as an adult and scary at times. But ultimately it's what determines what truly makes you an adult.

The best thing is that you have complete control over life decisions and can participate in any activity you want! The child in you can really be pampered by your own adult self with the financial means to do so now

The worst thing is that you realize so many people still have control over your life (boss, shitty colleagues, debt/bank, world politicians, wars etc)

The worst thing is that there isn't going to be a time where hundreds or thousands of people your own age will be in close proximity on a daily basis like you had in highschool. So finding a spouse feels impossible.

I have a social life and family, but no one reaally checks up on me. If you're asked "how are you?" And actually want to talk about your feelings, you can instantly see how uncomfortable people get.
