FinchieI have already learned to love myself when I was 37 years old. I do treat people like I wish to be treated except some people spin tha that in their head th the wrong way. For instance I used to always say please and thank you as well as tell my caregiver that I really appreciate her and what she does for me. Her interpretation of that meant to her that I was only saying those things because I wanted something from her.🤪🤪🤪🤪

I just have trouble with people who lie to me to my face and act nice and then go in my apartment and steal almost all of my brand new belongings I just had to replace from the last time I moved and she stole everything a year ago. She was supposed to be my caregiver but she's the bitch from hell! I had to have my social worker fire her because after she stole everything from me I haven't seen her since.
Plus in November this company scammed me and took all of my money from my bank account.
So I have been going through some hell over here.
And now that I am fricken 70 years old I am just now finding out that being a nice and kind person is a trap!! It's giving people permission to rob from me and ruin my life all because I am a stupid nice person? WTF!!

sticking to negative feelings for so long time isn't healthy or helpful at all... learn your lesson and prevent her from stealing more by any action you see fit...

taking money from your account is reversible if you claim and prove there was no reason for that

I guess I didn't make myself clear.

Her and the maintenance guys stole all of my belongings a year ago when the ceiling collapsed in my apartment. I stayed with a friend and while I was gone they have a key to my apartments and stole everything last year.
I've been buying new replacements for what they stole from me last year.
Now I had to move again into another apartment in the same building and they stole all of the things that I have been buying this past year.
I thought she was moving my things into my new apartment but instead she was putting them in her SUV! I didn't even know it until I moved in and all of my stuff was stolen AGAIN!!

I knew it wasn't just her stealing from me and I couldn't prove it. But she was in it with the two maintenance guys that work here and are her friends.
I didn't have anywhere else to go. I don't know anyone but them. And I had just suffered tremendously from my boyfriend who had just died months before it happened the first time.

Yea , why I am no longer nice to people that aren’t nice to me in return , sadly it’s hard to trust people , even your closest friends’ can easily backstab and betray you, even your partner that claims they love you , can back stab you and betray you. So it’s best to just focus on yourself and you own well being , we can’t force anyone to love us and accept us , we can’t just treat them the same way we like to be treated in return. You should never depend on anyone to bring you happiness , because it’s more than likely not going to happen. , Happiness comes from within , when you learn to accept yourself and love yourself for who you are as a person , then others’ will more than likely be drawn to that , so it’s best to treat people the same way you like to be treated in return, that’s when you will see who your true friends’ are and who is not your true friends. Someone that wants to be a part of your life , will do what they have to do , to be a part of it. The same goes for relationships.

I disagree w that. Kindness is the one that sorts a lot of stuff caused by being nasty. And kindness is something that melts/softens people either they are expecting kindness coming to them or not. But yea you gotta be strict too w the people or situations where you are being taken for granted.
