Do you touch public door handles with bare skin? Always or since COVID? Only select place doors? Is this germophobic or prudent?

I avoid almost everything

I avoid / wash after for some of those things

I don't do anything special for any item

I touch most of those w/o worry or wash after

I touch them, but any germs won't be there for long with all the handwashing and hand sanitizing I do.

Unless I'm in a gross public washroom, I don't even think about any of this shit. I am just going about my life like a normal person. Using handles, condiments, cash and elevators without a second thought.

I feel sorry for anyone who does think about any of this regularly. It's just more to think about.

I get glitchy about bathroom doors and do grab a paper towel for those, but otherwise I just carry disinfectant with me.

Metal surfaces do allow germs to live longer which is probably how I got a cold just a few days ago… Lesson learned, though COVID19 should’ve been the lesson.
