Why is it, faith leaders always seem to be sexual abusers of children?

Question

It’s all about indoctrination of children followed by a lifetime of blasphemy accusations to perpetuate the bizarre and inconsistent narrative. Homeschooling, school vouchers and book banning are all about brainwashing children. It’s been wildly effective for over two thousand years.

because drama makes the news... why it "always seems". I doubt that is the case, but the failure rate of people in those roles is high. It's a problem of expectations and stress as well as being revered. Those people need a lot of humility and support from spouse to endure those jobs. In essence, they need to keep an emotional distance from people... because people puke all over them all the time and think it's ok.

"Pastor thank you so much, uh... my fathers sister is dying could you pray"... next.

"Pastor, great sermon... uh, could you pray for my dog, he's got cancer... do dogs go to heaven". next... note... this woman is hot looking...

Pastor goes to funeral and presides over 100 people and someone they barely knew...

etc etc... all day, 500 times a week for years. While running a huge business filled with stress.

But oh... they are being held to a high standard of morality by themselves and all people... there can be no slips. Do you see the risk of stress when they do fail, which is probable.

The other issue is... and I'm missing a word here... pointing out one persons issues can be a magnet to bringing them to themselves. whatever we repeat we are exposed to and can become. It becomes a temptation.

I guess it be a good case to study in a PhD phsych degree moreso than gag, but a few thoughts of mine. I know ministers have not been abusers as far as I know. But I know of one that was caught red handed, confessed, and got his life on track. There's always a reason.

One of the first thigns I tell people... DO NOT TURN YOUR CHILDREN OVER TO A CHURCH WITHOUT YOUR SUPERVISION. Lots of reasons for that. Always talk to and listen to your children and pay attention to behaviors and oddities. They can take a abuse in an instant that can last a lifetime.

Religion and sex abuse? It's like fries and ketchup. Christianity in particular has been obsessed with sex since day one. Everyone's sex. They have all sorts of rules.

The Catholic Church demands that priests be celibate and then protects the priests who are diddling the altar boys. It's been going on for centuries. If ever there was a pedophile cartel it's the Catholic Church.

But US Evangelical Christians are even more sexually repressed and sick about their perversions. The televangelists and the local pastors are preaching sin and damnation while they are fucking the wives in their congregation, having gay sex in a back alley, and molesting boys and girls alike. They cry like babies when they are caught and beg Jesus to forgive them. Then they go right back to doing it again.

Religion mindfucks people and causes them to obsess over sex. If a guy is a devout Christian in some leadership position in a church, it's almost guaranteed that he's involved in something sick and twisted related to sex.

many pedophiles pick jobs that give them easy access to kids. the smarter ones pick jobs that also offer them protection and a cover so people won't suspect them as much. this is litterally documentated by researchers.

with priests specifically there's also the issue of them being forbidden from sex and so some resort to using what they have their hands on after years of frustration... a lot of offenders dont think it's wrong to touch a 12yo boy because he's a boy so who cares. it's also a quite toxic macho environment and morals can be eroded in some of them ironically

Opportunity and lack of consequences. I'm sure there are paedophiles in all walks of life, but fortunately most aren't in a position to act on it. Religious leaders not only have access to children, but in many cases, know that even if they are found out, those highe up in their religious group will shield them and try to cover it up - and even in the rare cases where the police are alerted, they are generally extremely reluctant to get involved.

Take the case of John Smyth, who abused hundreds of boys over a period lasting from the 1970s up until his death in 2018 (aged 75). The Achbishop of Canterbury knew about it at the time, but covered it up, eventually leading to a scandal that would force his resignation - and yet he escaped any legal consequences whatsoever (anyone else would have been arrested), and of course, Smyth had already died by the time any of this came out, so he never faced any consequences either.

I took a year of French and a year of Government with a priest from my high school who had diddled some boys there back in the 70s. He got “reassigned” to Maine, and came back in the 90s when I was there. So the school KNEW🤨

The evidence is not on your side. In the US homeschooled children score significantly higher academically than their peers.
The rate of sexual abuse among public school teachers is higher than among priests or pastors.
