I've never found gold but I do know someone who spotted and pocketed a tiny nugget in one on the local rivers while borrowing one of the trout.
So have you ever found gold in it's natural state? Was it by accident or were you searching for it?

I looted so much gold, over time, up to the point it means nothing to me anymore.
Gold coins, gold nuggets, gold bracelets, gold vases, gold necklaces, even gold swords and gold armored plates. I wouldn't be surprised I stumble upon a gold cheeseburger at this point. Gold's scarcity is so overrated, in truth, that thing pops up in crazy amount, in every regions. Just from slashing rabbits and rats, you can buy a cottage in the meadow.
And don't get me started on DRAGONS, they drop enough gold to buy a country.

WINNER MHO 🏆🙌🏻
I have found some tiny flakes when panning, and a piece of quartz about the size of a marble that has a bit of gold in it, but it's probably less than $10 worth. There's still plenty of gold up in the Sierra Nevada mountains where the California Gold Rush happened, but the easy to get to stuff is largely gone, except for the little bit the rivers bring down.
That said, the rivers still have tiny gold flakes all over if you are up in the mountains. It's just that panning in ice cold water for 8 cents worth of gold per hour loses its appeal quickly.
No gold here, best I can do going to beach after storm at night with strongest possible 465nm UV light and look for amber. German and British dentist love amalgamates, Russian dentist love gold. Maybe I should move to Russia for gold digging. lol
Found a solid gold tooth once.
Was it on a sawdust covered bar floor?
Knocked out in a fight...

Yep. In Wales. Went to a retired mine that's a museum now where you can pay to pan for gold in the stream running through the property.
Got about four grams of what they said was basically dust, but it still counts. I was 12 and they gave me £10 for it!
Sooner or later every welsh child gets a school trip to Dolgellau gold mine
Yes I have. That was by accident but but soon as Spring. Is a couple of friends and I are going to? Go and look. We've done quite a bit of research and if we get lucky we get lucky we get lucky we get lucky we get lucky we get lucky we get lucky we get lucky we get lucky we get lucky we get lucky we get lucky we get lucky we get lucky we get lucky we get lucky if we don't we'll try it again
I have. Ballarat, about two hours from me, was where the largest nugget ever was found but after the alluvial gold was all mined out reef mining was difficult because the the gold was homogeneously distributed through the quartz.
So it was pennyweights of gold per tonne. Not economic. They did use this junk gold quartz to pave roads. It isn't hard to find. But you don't see veins of gold like in the pic.
There's a mine in Upstate New York where you can pan for gold. I took my kids there once. They actually found a small speck of gold, the real stuff. They also found many gold painter small stones that are planted from people to find. They actually guarantee that someone in your group will find gold (usually the painted stones) or you get your admission fee back. Good marketing.
I think you and I went to the same place!! Was there a quarry there too?
@DrPepper12 It was outside Herkimer. I think I remember a quarry too.
I've found some really small flakes. There's a shitload of gold in old abandoned gold mines in the mountains out here. I'm not trying to die for it, though. There's a reason only the craziest bastards go in there. It's not solid rock, it's old and crumbly and will cave in on your head. The timbers holding up the mountain over your head are from the late 1800's. It's a death trap if I've ever seen one.
According to President Trump, America is in another gold age. His bold actions on trade, immigration, energy and anti-woke have transformed our nation into a goldmine for prosperity. So, while the wokesters continue to dig themselves into a deep hole, I'm over here investing in America. Trust me, that's where the gold is! #TrumpGoldRush #BlessedToBeABiggerPartOfTrumpsGoldMine 🤑🏛️🇺🇸
LMFAO 😂😂😂
If I've some gold nuggets, who's to say they're not from Wales, and can I sell them for 10 times their value?
only as jewelry...

Found my wife in my 20s. That's so cheesy! I like it.
Yes in creeks but it’s mostly dust Gold I do have a fancy gold chain in the safety deposit box

That was in the bathroom sink when it broke off my tooth.
