Yes, our Grampa would take us panning for gold sometimes in a nearby stream, we never really found anything there but it was fun to do. Our state isn't really known for gold but over the years Grampa has prolly collected about 500$ worth. It's just a fun little hobby he likes to do sometimes (not so much anymore) and I think he liked it 'cuz it would get him away from grammie and his 5 granddaughters for awhile. 🤣

Actually there is. Welsh gold commands a much higher price on the market than the regular stuff. Every child gets dragged to a goldmine on a school trip.

I've never prospective for gold, I've dug up my parents garden searching for treasures, but I've never found anything except broken pottery.

Also I've never been a gold digger, If I've had the choice I've always chosen beauty, but failed with both, actually I've failed with all girls, I'm still single

I was only 7 or 8 at the time, and my parents dismissed it as recent pottery, and I didn't investigate further.
I have friends that go metal detecting and they've found a few valuable items, but the only digging I would do now is, essential work on the garden.

naw. it's pointless where i live. cause gold you find legally belongs to the government even if you find it on your very own soil.

i mean they probably wouldn't if you only find tiny ammounts. but if you find ammounts that are considerable value, the tax office will fuck you over either way. doesn't matter if gold or not. you'l have to explain where the money came from and good luck with that.
