How does someone so skilled and telented like myself end up so POOR?

I am very skilled and multifaceted. I have previous healthcare and public safety experience, and I am also a fullstack developer. I have worked on projects for multi-billion dollar companies such as Zoetis (veterinary pharmaceutical conpany), Daimler (Freightliner/Western Star), and McCain Foods (they sell frozen potato products you'll find in the freezer aisle). I have proven skillsets, and despite a lack of a formal post-secondary degree, I have made great achievements.

As it stands today, I collect disability checks and I am on a fixed income. I live in my mom's house. I lost my EMT license back years ago due to a few misdemeanors. I was denied a part-time security officer joh due to my ridiculous misdemeanors over 9 years ago.

I don't want to have to resort to being a fast food worker, a convenience store clerk, a trucker, or a mailman the rest of my life. I feel I have more potential than that.

No, I KNOW I am talented. I am very multifaceted in a multitude of things. I know AI is a threat to software engineering as we know it, but I am a fullstack developer that can develop web apps from front to back to deployment. In addition, I have experience in healthcare and public safety. In the big scope, I have accomplished a shit ton more than the average 30 year old. I have also been through so much hardship and have fought severe mental illness along the way. I know what I have done is absolutely impressive.

Which is stupid. I was an immature 20 year old that brought a girl a cookie cake in another state. Her father had connections in the law enforcement community and I was fucked. Obviously, I am highly skilled.

Why would society want me to be a fry cook or some other low-skilled, menial labor worker? Why would society want me to be on disability benefits when I have so much to offer? I could be making a tremendous difference in society. I am even working with legislators to fight for causes.
