Maybe not now cause it's noticable but I'm sure at some point it will advance to look very realistic to the point it can fool many, people can make pornos and shit about others or use it to frame people for crimes, etc.

I think the spreading of disinformation is the top concern. Americans are already so fucking deluded that they’re living in this reality that they simply aren’t, and that’s without AI influence. We now shun the opinions of experts, and embrace the opinions of rando idiots who are telling us something more on line with what we want to hear. “Dr. Fauci, professional virologist, is lying about Covid and the vaccine! I’m going to take Ivermectin, a fucking LIVESTOCK DE-WORMER, instead, because that kid I went to high school with who barely graduated and dropped out of community college said on Facebook that that was better!”

Americans are fucking retarded, bro, at levels I never believed I’d see. Our collective intelligence has fallen off a cliff in the 21st century. I mean, I’m sorry, but I’ve never seen such abject and deliberate stupidity in my life🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Like I’m really and truly shocked, to my core. This is like a bad dream, except it’s real when I wake up.

And the biggest thing is the susceptibility to false information, and the apparent inability to identify it. Again, I’ve just never seen anything like this, and at such an extreme level. Even hearing people talk on GAG….. just “HOLY SHIT.”😱😱😱 It’s “holy shit”-stupid, not just regular, run-of-the-mill stupidity that I’m used to. And as demonstrably wrong as they may be, they all have the UTMOST confidence that what they’re saying is actually correct. Again…. hooooo-lyyyyyyyyyy SHIT🤦‍♂️😱

There are more dumb people than smart people, and the smart people are losing because of that. And the results will be devastating, but no one will realize til it’s too late…. and the stupid people will still blame something or someone else, no accountability.

So AI disinformation is the big thing to combat.

AI porn…. interesting topic. From my understanding of it, you can do some pretty bad stuff with it. I guess they recently passed a bill criminalizing the sharing of AI-altered/produced deepfakes of a pornographic nature. That’s good, that makes sense. I didn’t see them, but I heard somebody made some deepfake porn of Taylor Swift and put it on Twitter or something…that’s obviously no good.

Personal use is where it gets tricky. It sounds easy to just say no to all of it, but I think it’s technically protected under the 1st Amendment. We don’t have any rights over people’s fantasies though, right? And that could extend to other forms of media. Someone with artistic talent could’ve drawn erotic cartoons of Taylor Swift or whoever, or Photoshopped her face onto another woman’s nude body. Shit, the first internet porn I ever accessed was in high school, probably like 1995, and it was a file of the actress Christina Applegate, known for her role as Kelly Bundy on Married With Children, her head photoshopped onto some random nude body. Took an overnight to download😂 Now I guess you can put different faces on the actresses in a porno scene. That’s a bit more extreme. But it’s not a new concept.

So the question becomes about the line of personal privacy vs others’ rights to their personal fantasies. If you make that stuff but never share it and keep it for your own personal use, is that ok? I feel like the answer might be “yes.” And that might make some people feel like their privacy has been invaded, but think of it like this…. I figure every day in the history of forever, some dude has punched the clown to the thought of some woman he knows, in his mind.

And there’s no crime in that, and you can’t make them stop. Some woman I’m not attracted to, or maybe some gay dude that I DEFINITELY am not attracted to, maybe even people I dislike on a personal level…. if they were attracted to me and wanted to jack/jill off to the thought of me, there’s nothing I can do about that. Same if they used photoshop or AI to superimpose my face on something, and they didn’t share it. I think it qualifies as “no harm, no foul.” Now, if you go up to that person, if it’s someone you know, and tell them you’ve done it, THEN I think you might’ve breached sexual harassment laws, same as if you told someone you fantasize about them. And of course you should apply child 🌽 charges to anyone making creations featuring underage people.

So…. definitely a lot of weird gray area there. I’m not sure how they’ll handle it in America. I think a lot comes down to how Americans handle the technology. My expectations of Americans are at an all-time low, I feel like we have really poor quality citizens compared to a lot of other countries, so I wouldn’t put it past us to be irresponsible with this🤦‍♂️

Bro, I found my dad watching shit on YouTube about one of the guys from that reality show Pawn Stars being accused of and convicted for a bunch of grisly murders, bodies buried under his home, etc.

It was an obvious AI voice just narrating over B-roll of the guy and his show, and cops and detectives working on some crime scene. So I was like “You sure about this?” He tells me he’s seen several videos about it.

So I look it up on Google and there’s nothing about it, and then a few links talking about how that’s a false rumor going around.

I told my dad, and I disabused him of the idea, but then he was like “How is YouTube allowed to do this? They should be liable for slander!” And I’m just like “Maybe if someone reports it they’ll take it down, but there are just too many videos posted every day for them to ever keep up with. Then I can remember what it was, but I found him watching ANOTHER thing that was obviously fake, and I had to dispel that one too. Elderly people especially, they just have no idea how to discern real from fake. It was kinda funny, but scary in the big picture
