I have had cats as pets for most of my adult life, because they are far easier to maintain, especially when leaving home on weekends. However, I like dogs, too.

Grew up with dogs, but like the independence of indoor/outdoor cats. Have had several and the last one, who died about 10 year ago, was a great big white cat that, though fixed, would still get into scrapes with feral cats nearby. He was 13 pounds of muscle. Sweet disposition.

He was my son's cat, as he walked up to my 3 year old c hild and wound his way around his chubby, toddler legs. Had that cat for 16 years. DIdn't use a littlerbox either. Went under the house. Only had one indoor accident and decided to go in the bathtub! Smart animal.

Golden eyes, all white fur. Still have a pix of him on the fridge! "Whitey." 3 year old's name. A good boy.

I'm a horse person. I like cats and dogs but pet upkeep is a lot and you need to be dedicated 100% or it's unfair.
Cats are more appealing to me as I get older because you can make a dog come to you and cats are more selective and will go if they feel like it. They ward off bad spirits too. They are easy to take care of too and independent.

I’ve always been an a dog person, but I don’t mind cats. It’s just that they are too independent and jump on everything that dogs could not possibly reach. Dogs always seem to show more affection and listen more even though cats are very smart, but they always like to be outside on their own and that’s probably why you see dead cats on the road and almost never dogs.

Cat person.

Cats are like the perfect pet they like cuddles and whatnot. But they're also independent. Dogs want attention 24/7. If you petted a dog 23 hrs. He'd still want petted the 24th. I like dogs, but I wouldn't want to own one. And TOY dogs are the WORST. The little 💩's bark and bark and bark like they could actually do something. Very annoying.
