What does your city look like from the air?

Some of us live in cities, others in towns or villages, and I suspect a few in here are probably in prison. Skylines of many cities are recognisable worldwide, and these days, we're got Google Earth.

But if I were to fly low in plane what does your city look like?

I live on a farm and the photo is of my nearest city, St Davids. So if you don't want to post your little village or your'e banged up in prison, just do your nearest city.

Bonus points if you can point to your house so we can all pop around for a cup of tea.😉

St. Davids looks lovely. I really like places like that - not too hilly, some history and ancient architecture, farms, green fields, the ocean.

I grew up in a suburb south of Los Angeles, CA. It's too sprawling to see much from the air. But here's a shot that I found looking north toward Los Angeles with the San Bernardino Mountains in the distance.

I now live in a rural area. This will give you some idea. Most of the trees are blue oaks with some gray pines. There are rivers and lots of lakes. The Sierra Nevada Mountains are just a few minutes north.

Unless I spot the landmarks of Stanford University and/or am not good at geography at all, I wouldn't be able to immediately say that's my 'hood down below.

Here is an actual picture of what my town looks like. This isn't all of it obviously but it's a decent chunk of the town and what it looks like. Aside from that it's surrounded on all sides by open plains, grain fields, grain elevators, orchards and cattle farms and other various kinds of farms.

@Maybe_Maybe_not It's the historical part of town, but it's a not that big of a city in the first place (800,000 or so). The tree canopy cover is rather dense almost everywhere.

Big is relative lol, 800k is a capital city in my location, but 800k probably looks like a village for a Chinese. It's really cool that you can get so much greenery in a major city 👌🏼

I live in the suburb of a city. If you flew over the city, you'd see lots of tall buildings. As you get to the suburbs, you'd see lots of houses, apartment complexes and condominiums, along with several strip malls.

It’s just a bunch of houses and some businesses with all different roads going everywhere and to the beaches north and south because I’ve been in a small little plane 1000 feet above land many years ago and did take a picture but I have no idea where it is anymore since that was probably Almost 40 years ago
