You do not and cannot have any external frame of reference to make such claims about the improbability of life because being alive and able to process such ideas is a prerequisite for even judging your situation in the first place.
Furthermore, neither rarity nor perceived rarity directly correspond to desirability. Life isn't something we choose, but something which is imposed upon us without the possibility of rejection, and for a great many it is simply an enduring state of pain and suffering. I would as easily claim that being alive is a tragic misfortune. But at least we all get to die some day.
