Okay so, if there was an ‘evil gene’ and I found out I have it….

One: I would question the agenda / motive behind this finding, like I would wonder if it is eugenic nonsense or White Supremacy Group BS

Two: When it is a factually backed up scientific paper with control groups, datasets, experiments, etc. then I would absolutely do research into it by reading those papers also talking with medical professions maybe even see a therapist to counteract this gene effectively

Three: Do good deeds and try to be the best version of myself that I could possibly be

I have a lot of bad luck in my gene pool, so I would be quick to go, “yeah makes sense”.
Genetic disease, mental issues, etc. so that would all pale in comparison to the ‘evil gene’.

I wouldn't trust science's input in that field, because good and evil aren't scientific concepts. Just like I distrust religion in what it has to say about "evil". Since both are operating on a dogma level and both are prone to express views outside of their boundaries.

This reminds me what my forensic psychology professor at the university said during one of our one-on-one coffee time that we're all born with a switch, and sometimes that switch in our brain can come on, like some will have an alcoholic switch, some will have like you said @Still-alive an evil switch. We're all born with a switch that may or may not come on.
