Many places have a pedestrian tunnel, some long some short. But how do you feel about walking through them?

Why would you need a flashlight to walk through a hole with straight walls for a couple of minutes? Just keep walking straight. If you lose your bearings easily just put your hand on the wall and keep walking straight. It's not like you are in a mine shaft with dead falls.
Shorter tunnels in fine with, it's when my brain starts to think about the tunnel collapsing and having time to enjoy that thought that it gets iffy.
I absolutely HATED when we drove through Hvalfjörð tunnel, lot of time for dooms thought, if the collaps wouldn't kill me the big bad sea would. 😅😂
@exitseven
That sounds terrifying. 😳 Exactly what goes through my head as soon as we get under sea level when driving through than damn tunnel. I'd almost rather drive that extra many hours to avoid but I'm alone in that usually. 😂
It wouldn’t bother me. I would see it as a glorious adventure, at least the first time.
You are an adventurer!!!
@Cute_User513 I am!!! Yay 🥰

As for me I would walk through the tunnel of love however if the tunnel is like the one in this photo I would avoid it at all costs. I may be crazy but I’m not stupid.
You know what they say about the light at the end of the tunnel?
The light at the end of the tunnel could be a freight train!

I have a recurring dream about one. There is tunnel in the city that has a catwalk. There is one access ramp to the surface about halfway through the tunnel. It is fairly narrow with no catwalk. In the dream I am hitchhiking through the tunnel and I have to go up that access ramp. There is no catwalk and a big truck goes up the ramp and turns me into a red smudge in the wall.
Varies between the top two options, if it’s near a built up city like area then concerned. If it’s more rural then less concerning and more fun, also probably to do with age that getting more uneasy with it, which is a shame.
Oh.. can’t give more than one answer.
Well I was also going to say separately so as not to derail it, since Poppy’s questions sometimes have a euphemism to them, but from my own specific interest… as you may know previously or guess… I’m a fan of being pushed into a tunnel against my will by a female it’s a bit scary and exciting. As this is posted in Other, best say no more than that.
It depends where the tunnel is. I've seen tunnels and subways I wouldn't walk through if I wasn't in full body armour and others where the most unnerving content is the odd mouse.
I've never had a problem with them. Rather than go above ground, we CHOSE to go through a quarter mile long tunnel to get in and out of the Boy Scout camp.
Their is a ped tunnel I have to use to get to a tram line I sometimes use. I don't like it over much because of druggies hanging out there.
we have some tunnels in Asheville North Carolina that we drive through and we always beep the horn every time we drive through it. when were on vacation
I don't think that I ever have. I've gone into caves on vacation. But never walked through a tunnel per se.
I feel like hiding a bluetooth speaker in the middle of it... and get one of those old train audios...
@purplepoppy fun and exciting and exploring
Big respect for my grandfather who worked down the coal mine. The same one that's the national coal mining museum now
Fun, fun, fun. And exotic.
I don't really have any thought on it since where I live we don't have tunnels.
I like to explore, but Id want to have a flashlight with me.
I don't even remember the last time I did it
Id definitely go through for woman i dont think you should go through it at night
I would feel like Indiana Jones exploring some ancient temple.
I'm ok with them
Don’t feel safe if it’s long and dark
Watch out for the dog poop!
