Does anyone know how to find a good lawyer?

Someone has been slandering me about my professional skills online for the past two weeks on Quora and Youtube and Facebook, and the moderators of those sites won't do anything about it. Why does this person get to lie about me every day in the most vicious and insane ways, but when I try to defend myself with real facts, the moderators delete MY post and even post back to me mocking me and taking the false accuser's side?

What the heck are my legal options here?

I hate the local lawyers. They all want a 10000 dollar retainer to do anything about it.
