Have To or Gotta, which do you use more often?

I find myself using "gotta" more than "have to", even though the latter is more grammatically correct.

For example, I say, "I gotta got to the store" rather than "I have to go to the store".

How about you?

Gotta is more US and I am not American. I'd use GOTTA in an authoritative tone as an escalation if a girl doesn't recognize my priorititization. Like I've GOTTA go to the toilet.

I probably use "must" more than either of those. Unless I am singing a song that has "gotta" in the lyric, I do not think I ever use the term.

Both. "I have to" if it is not an urgency, I use "gotta" if it is urgency and I have to do it at that moment, but I am not a native speaker.

I think both are acceptable but gotta is more colloquial. As long as you don't say, "I has to go to the shop," We'll be fine.
