I don't know. It would depend on why I met it, I think. Like, is it hurt? Are we at the same watering hole? Is it looking at me like I'm dinner? I've run into black bears before but they are certainly not as threatening as a big cat can be. 🤷‍♀️

Freeze, it's movement that triggers attack in predators. They're ambush predators and won't strike unless within a certain distance or if spotted first.
