While I could not read all of this and saw nothing beyond anecdotes it is by now fairly accepted that the vast amount of perceibed laziness is just dopamine issues and alike. That people are not naturally lazy or not but live with different levels of "ah screw it I'll do this" counters. Not to just mention sheer happiness and dopamine.

All that said, there is still an element of discipline. It is fair, and probably true, to argue that much of lazy behaviour is something else entirely. It can be mentally as hard for some to get out of bed as it is for others to run a marathon. To some extent even if we acknowledge that we still need to get up and see if we can't rebuild, or build, a few more receptors.

Yes, and I wish I had known this when I was a teen. I was perfectly capable of doing things that interested me, and incapable of doing anything else. Much later I realized the solution was to pay others to do those things.

Usually it's a sign of depression. We use the term lazy to shame people into working in the same way we brand those with anxiety issues cowards. It's an antiquated way of forcing people to conform rather than dealing with the root cause,.
