Ever use a word wrong?

I've noticed a lot of times here (and offline🤣) I will use a word that doesn't mean what I want it to mean when I use it. Like I realize after I said it that it's not the right word but here I can't edit it (And yes, I proof read😊) and then I just feel all dumb and like, "omg, everyone is going to see I used a word wrong and they're all going to laugh at me and then I'll be publicly ridiculed and have to change my name and be exiled to some distant , foreign country and raise llamas."

I will edit/correct/explain whenever possible to avoid any misunderstanding. Sometimes it's simply a matter of the specific jargon of a profession, or even different terms for the same concept in different areas of the country. But I try to be as clear as the situation allows me to be, barring any typo errors.

I use a lot of British and Australian slang that flies over the heads of people and not just online either.

I do it all the time. That or say something wrong and just end up saying you knew what I meant. If they did understand, good for them if they didn't, their lose. Sometimes I just expect people to read my mind 😉

Yes sure
