7 moWhere to begin?
- Safer? It depends on the threat level and your need to expose yourself. Anyone can be targeted. It just depends on the level of funding used to target you. Absolute safety is a delusion in the real world.
- Hire someone? I am that someone, LOL. Unless I'm being targeted by a team of professionals, I'm better off alone. I know I can trust me. Less to worry about
- Anonymity. It's really an underrated form of protection and threat mitigation. Being able to move around in society and across borders without drawing any attention to yourself is essential in my mind. No entourage. No fame. No social media presence. Not bulked up and threatening. Not a wimpy target. Dressed well but not well enough to look wealthy. Well groomed but not good looking enough to stick in most people's memory. Pleasant but short interactions with strangers. Don't make yourself the center of attention. Able to move through crowds or sit in a restaurant or bar pretty much invisibly. A boring reliable car in a boring common color, not a Corvette or Ferrari or Porsche. Weapons only when the risk warrants it. High awareness of your surroundings and the ability to read people. Note where the exits and entrances are as you enter a place.

Wow you’re good. “I am that someone”? You’re a body guard?
- 7 mo
Ahh you’re an air force brat..

@On_cloud_wine ,
You’re getting closer. I was an Air Force brat as a kid. My father was career Air Force. I went a different direction as an adult.

7 moNo. I wouldn't have bodyguards unless I knew people were after my life or if I have a shit ton of money and a lot of people know me. I value my privacy and I'm confident I can defend myself against an average untrained person as long as I can see them.

I don't advertise what money I have. I drive an old car. I wear inexpensive clothes. I wear no jewelry, and rarely wear a watch unless I'm camping or something similar, and then it's a Casio. I'm not on social media or dating apps. I don't go to bars or clubs. I don't attract attention because I don't want any. I'm perfectly happy being anonymous.
10 Reply2.8K opinions shared on Other topic. No. I never needed one before and I spent a lot of time with my job in areas that people would consider very dangerous. I got along with everybody.
I don't go around starting trouble. I don't wear expensive clothes, jewelry or a Rolex. If someone wanted to rob me, they wouldn't get much.
I have sense enough not to go into dangerous places, especially alone and at night.
So I wouldn't want a body guard hanging around. Besides, I don't have a limo for him to ride along in.
And I have a CCW, even though I never walk around armed. But I could if I felt the need. And I would rather defend myself in the very unlikely chance that I needed to.10 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Other topic. A muscled guy following me around all day sounds nice. Fortunately, I don't have to pay a guy to do that. (Haha.)
On a more serious note, there are enough people in my circle (guys and gals) who are protective of me. I'd never particularly feel the need for a body guard.10 Reply688 opinions shared on Other topic. maybe for fun at times if i was really ultra rich. i'd only hire out of genuine need though maybe if i wanted to go to a dangerous neighborhood or go on holiday in a more risky country. I dont think there would be that much point in having one around the clock around me since i live in a very very safe area and i'm not a celeb or anything

7 moI wouldn’t hire a bodyguard, not because I don’t believe in protection, but because I am my own protection.
Safety isn’t just about muscle, it’s about awareness, composure, and knowing your power.
A bodyguard can guard your body, but not your mind and that’s where real danger often hides.11 Reply- 7 mo

7 moI used to have bodyguards assigned to stay close enough.
They were truly effective protectors when they needed to be.
When I felt they weren't necessary to play their roles, I reassigned them to new positions.
Now, they're also protecting my businesses.
They still appreciate the reassignments.
10 Reply If I could afford it, absolutely, yes.
But not because I live in fear, because I value peace.
A bodyguard doesn’t just protect your body, they protect your freedom to live without.12 Reply- 7 mo
I like your attitude.
7 moDamn right I would try one!!! lmao
Seriously yes I do need it so I can ditch my stun gun and personal alarm. I am just getting solid again feeling safe to go back into society with protection. :)
30 ReplyNo, I would not hire a bodyguard, for a number of reasons. #1 My life isn't that dangerous. #2 I studied Karate for 9 years. #3 I own several firearms, and though I don't carry, I could if it became necessary.

7 moNo, I don't live my life scared of death or attacks. Plus I'm the big bad wolf in sheep's clothing so I doubt anyone would fuck with me.

7 moNo I would not. I don't do anything that should cause anyone to want to harm me. And if someone wants to do that, one of two things will happen: 1) I'll defend myself, or 2) they will hurt me. I can live with that.

7 moI could never imagine a need for a bodyguard for me. Additionally I believe bodyguards invite attention and could make me a target above all thought , everyone can be bought.

There are many weirdos around who fall in obsession when they see a pretty face too often.10 Reply818 opinions shared on Other topic. @thegreenyogi Probably not, I have Pepper Gel, a 50,000-volt, handheld electrical stun device, and a cannister of Bear Spray, in my up-armoured Tesla Model S.

7 moI am the bodyguard.. I'm fairly tall, and muscular.. And although there are guys bigger and taller than me, I'm at a size where most people think twice unless in a group or with a weapon..
10 Reply 7.4K opinions shared on Other topic. Nope. I can and have protected myself before. A bodyguard is bound by law in how they operate, I'm not.
10 Reply3.1K opinions shared on Other topic. No, because there's no reason anyone would pick me as opposed to thousands of other people.

10 ReplySince I'm quite a nice guy, I don't have enemies and I live in a very quite place, there's no need for a bodyguard 😁
