Why horse poop is rounded and human poop is cylindrical?

Horses have a pretty lousy digestive system compared to most animals. A lot of their food passes through barely touched and still intact. The colon squeeze it to extract what it can and in doing do produces a more rounded shape, made easier by all the undigested grass which helps hold its structure. It's why houses build of horse poo last centuries.

Human poo contains lots of fat and protein, there isn't as much last minute colon action and so like most predators we produce sausage poo
