Okay, I'll be the bad person for the thread. I probably wouldn't date a guy who didn't have a cell phone. The reasons for this - my cell phone is the only consistent way to reach me and the same goes for my current boyfriend because we both have two jobs and go to separate universities. So since we have cell phones, we stay in contact throughout every day instead of only having brief conversations and seeing each other only a couple of times a week. I need to be in contact with my guy consistently so that's why I would only date someone with a cell phone - it's the only kind of relationship that would work for me.

I would prefer that he didn't have a cellphone, or Facebook for that matter. You know, people back in the 90's didn't have any of that, and they got along just fine! all of that stuff makes personal communication dissappear...like talking on the phone is good, but texting and Facebook messages can't show emotion in the voice, it is all way too impersonal. That's why I don't do it. I like hearing his voice and seeing his reactions...not having to guess what they are through a text. We get too caught up in that stuff nowadays

My boyfriend has a pay as you go.. with never more then $5 on it...

He never uses it.. forgets it about half the time... its the one his parents got him in high school in case he needed to be picked up from a party because his ride was drinking...

Is it frustrating? Sometimes.. but he's always been anti-cell as long as I've known him.. he barely even uses the computer lol...

I went for about a year without a mobile. While they don't know they do it, people treat you differently if you don't have one. Its f***ing HARSH.

Just sayin it shows your a bit insecure about your self, that's normal I guess, but it also implies that you would want to be with a woman who wouldn't even bother with a man who doesn't have a cell phone, which means your either a sucker for abuse or incredibly vain or maybe your just oblivious to all this.
