What if everybody woke up with amnesia?

I don't mean like in the movie "50 first Dates" or anything. I mean like a 1 time planet reboot where everyone would still remember basic personality stuff and all that. We just wouldn't remember any past events or why we were upset with each other or anything.

Would governments cooperate with each other? Would people be nice to each other for even one day? Would I still ask questions on G@G like, What if everybody woke up with amnesia?

Some may wish Random wouldn't remember she has an account on G@G

The way we think is what creates the world we live in. I love this because so much of what we do is based in what someone else taught or showed us. We just blind trust it. No one ever told us how to live we just saw what worked best and followed...

The problem with following is there isn't much room for new ideas to develop. So much of what we do is because of other people and things. I'd absolutely love this opportunity and I would make the best of it times 1000!

I believe that what makes people perverts, perversion defined here as the urge to hurt someone and/or enjoyment in watching them suffer, is deeply rooted in personality. I also believe it's irreversible.

So, as others pointed out, this mass amnesia scenario seems particularly obnoxious.

I think that would certainly be interesting but I think it could be detrimental to a lot of people not knowing what happened to them. Like what if you befriend your rapist or someone just as bad because you don't remember what happened?

That would be a bad idea. Victims wouldn't remember abusers while abusers still retain that abusive personality.

Shit even that aside, my natural personality without the memories I use to reign myself in would be a disaster. People would be killed.

There would immediately be a world War. So nobody remembers the restraint they learned from their life experiences, or the wisdom that our societies ar built from like law or police or leadership.

These are all ideas humanity had developed specifically because of how much amnesia we already have. Think of the hundreds of millions of lives that have been lost because of people acting out of pure selfishness.

The problem isn't people hating eachother.

Almost like the movie series “flash forward” except everybody lost consciousness for a few minutes in the whole world and remembered future events that would happen later on in their lives, but if everybody forgot everything they’ve learned nobody would know what to do

Imagine people not knowing where they are, why are they there, whats their name, how to got there.
Nothing.
We humans are curious creatures and if they don't know something, It will make them anxious and if everyone is anxious it would not be the good kind of chaotic.
