There are nice people anywhere you look, just as long as you aren't trying to look for a relationship here (as this isn't a dating site, it's just a question and answer forum), then you'll be fine finding nice people to talk to.

I'd say just keep asking questions and get known a bit and those conversations with good people will come with time. Sometimes you just find someone you gel with pretty quickly, as I have with a few people on here, and that's always a good feeling to have. It's pretty much the same kinds of rules really as meeting someone offline. Be kind, confident and interesting and the rest will fall into place.

May I make a suggestion with regard to your profile picture? You look very stern and that may be off putting for anyone wanting to talk to you as it may give the wrong impression about you. Better change it to a profile picture where you are smiling.
