What would be worse to you?

- Someone shows their dislike and is rude in your face, doesn't even acts cordial at all.

- They're nice out of fear (never confronts you) but talks garbage about you behind your back to others.

Behind your back because it's just a cowardly move same with gossiping behind people's backs, I personally don't like to do any of that and I think people that do it should really learn to properly communicate over spreading once sided hate because most people that do that don't ever let you know they have an issue with you, they just do it while your back is turned, that shit is just being fake.

Exactly. Fake nice is really a double insult, one for being a liar and another for venting about me to others instead of saying it in my face.
