This guy asked me out for a coffee date and to go on a walk with his dog at the park this weekend.
I told my friends how excited I am for the date, all about the places and stuff, but their response was “you’re so cheap for agreeing to go on a date at a coffee shop and end the day with a walk with his dog”
Should I be offended or are they being realistic? I feel so ashamed of myself because of their comment

Don’t listen to her. You shouldn’t feel ashamed of yourself. Some people like fancy dates at restaurants and some like simple and low-key dates. Both are fine. There is nothing wrong with your date.
To be honest, she doesn’t sound like a good friend. True friends don’t put you down.
I'd smile and laugh off the banter with my friends and just treat it as playful banter, lol, I mean, well okay then my fellow friends, I'll cya y'all later hahaha 🤣😂 I'd be merry and upbeat, but that's whimsical me.
P. S. it's just my personality, often I just let things slide and roll off with the banter and babbling with my friends. ✌🏻👋🏻👏🏻☮️🙃☮️
I'd be far more interested in talking to you on the date than someone who expected dinner at the nicest restaurant in town.
Your friends are single for a reason.
