How do you feel when you get an unexpected check?

I feel elated right now! Got a check for over $500. This will go good towards my car taxes in July!

Yeah those are always nice. a lot of unexpected money i get are from court settlements lol. got a hefty one from Lyft. all i did was sign my name and then 3 years later got like 7 grand. was very nice

Well, you have to make sure it wasn't a mistake, because if it was some sort of mistake and you spend it, you are still liable to pay back the money. I remember way back when people still went to the bank to deposit a paycheck, I deposited mine and then two weeks later I noticed that it wasn't deposited into my account. The bank teller deposited it into the wrong account. The bank manager called the lady whose account it was deposited into and she had already spent it even after noticing that it was a mistake. The bank manager was FURIOUS.

@Simslover92 Anyway I'm sure you wouldn't do anything like THIS... There was an incident here in town a long time ago where a lady noticed that her checking account had over $16,000 in it. She didn't know where it came from but she went to a car dealer on a Saturday and bought a new car for about $16,000. (A long time ago when you could get a new car for that price.) Turns out it was a mistake, and it ended up on the local news. I never heard how it was resolved. I'm not sure why she would go to the extent to actually buy a car with that money without trying to figure out where the money came from! She probably just figured "finders keepers"?
