Oh wow, that was a long time ago. No I don't. But considering that up till my first actual tax paying "job" I delivered papers. Which means before my first job (which was still only seasonal) I got paid once a month delivering papers. So all of a sudden getting paid every two weeks it felt like I had more money than I could spend. And the comical part of this is, because it was a seasonal job they didn't have to pay minimum wage. And that was like 1990. So I think minimum wage was around 5 dollars an hour. I know I got paid 2.50 an hr. And at the time it felt like a waterfall of money to me.🤣
I'd heard of people doing this before and wanted to see what it was like so, I went to my fave record store and bought a bunch of brand new albums!! The first 3 Queen albums, the first 4 Chicago albums and I don't recall what else but, I came home with a large stack of albums. Maybe a dozen, or so.
I started working at a very very young age… those money not sure too long ago…
by the time I got into my career, I have saved up a lot. I was still living at home so I bought myself a little Nissan Sentra with cash. $7K
I then helped my family upgraded all the mattresses. I bought my parents a new set of bedroom set.
then bought myself a new bedroom set as well. Because we were using hand me downs for 15 years.
I didn't have a checking account, so, I endorsed it over to my mom and she deposited it. My parents had bought me a car prior to me getting a job, so, I remember her keeping all of the money except for maybe forty dollars lol This went on for A LONG TIME, until the car was paid off.

I was 16 and decided I wanted to be independent nor a burden without asking for my parents help. I bought my own yearbook if I remember correctly.
Now as an adult in my 30s, once I get my new job, I told my parents I’ll take them out to eat for my first paycheck.
That's great :) Good on you. You've worked hard and deserve a treat.
I can't remember what I spent mine on. I was still in high school then, so probably food and cakes for my friends.
I bought a chainsaw. Growing up I used to take down 2 trees a summer for firewood and cut it into 1 foot pieces….. with an axe. So my very first pay check went to a chainsaw to make my life easier.
Damn if I can remember that. I assume it involved paying rent and other bills. That was 20 years ago.
It can be whatever you want Nikki
It was a long long time ago, a summer job between high school and college. I put it in my bank account and ended up using the money to help pay my college tuition.
I remember signing the back of it and putting it in the bank.
I don't remember. My first "real" paycheck as a regular employee was probably spent on beer, weed and gas.
Ever?
I was like 15. I do not remember. Nothing special. I think I just cased it and saved it. I did not even drive yet.
I'm 66 years old. Other than to say I spent it, I have no idea.
I think I got goodies or as Americans know it candy. I was only in my early teens and had a summer job working on the land
I cashed it or deposited it and moved on to check #2.
LOL gosh. I don’t even remember. It’s been so long.
first ever? it likely wasn't enough money back then to do much with it , i didn't go on a shopping spree
I bought a jean jacket, a pair of Rayban sunglasses and a Nolan Ryan rookie card, then I gave the rest to my mom.
Money always got paid into my account. Yes, I pay taxes like a chump.
That was a long time ago. If I recall I bought myself some new clothes for school.
I had to open a bank account and deposit it. Yup.
