I had one Grandma saying we were german, a Mom saying I was Itallian, another saying I was part Apatchee Native American... So I did the DNA test and guess what...

I'm like Norway Irish... all of them were so full of shit and now I know for sure.

That's why I got the test... to get all those women to shut the fuck up with their sexual fantasy land made up shit.

I have submitted to a DNA analysis to help someone with a genealogy project, but never to determine the paternity of a child, and never to check for markers of a genetic disease.

Yes, I have done a DNA test when my daughter was born to make sure I was her father since I didn't trust her mother at all. Turns out I am her father. Since I was adopted as a child, I never knew who my father was until fairly recently, when I did a DNA test with 23andMe and another one with Ancestry. I was able to find out who my father actually was. That was very rewarding and well worth the time and money I put into it.

I got mine sequenced along with my dad and my mom. The lab closed before my sister got her DNA sequenced. It was mostly just to see what is showed. Funnily enough it stopped my parents from drinking, although they were never binge drinkers. Our DNA showed that drinking or a high iron content can lead to early onset dementia. Granted, what we already did, we can't undo, but if it didn't affect us yet, we aren't tempting fate anymore.

One of my exes got me an Ancestry kit for my birthday because she was really curious as to what my mix consisted of. So was I. So yeah... that was why I did mine. I got some pretty interesting results too.

Yes. I have three daughters that are so very different. Me and their mom argue about who they take after. Science solved it. The oldest is mostly her mother. The middle, named after her mother is almost 100% me. The youngest is a happy mix. Red hair, green eyes and retarded just like her mother, but funny as fuck, strong, independent, and strong willed like her father.
