Has the meaning of common sense become too subjective now?

I feel like everyone has their own definition of common sense now. I see it first hand with my parents when they bicker about different house chores. My mom will do something but my dad will say she didn’t do it right and say “Isn’t that just common sense?” When to myself and my mom it is not common sense.

I don't think so. If it were subjective it wouldn't be common sense. Of course people can have some bad opinion and then say it's common sense even if it's not and in the same way if something should be common sense is doesn't mean that everyone will feel the same about it.

I think common sense has never been very common. People have their own ideas and opinions on how things should be done. Even mundane task so many people complete them in their own ways

It doesn't exist except for the most basic knowledge like fire is hot. Most people who think they know how to do something are able to get it done but the experts do it faster with better results.

It doesn't matter if people misuse words. That means they are wrong. It has a set definition.

The purpose of language is to communicate. Words mean what the audience believes they mean. Over time the meaning of a word may change, or the word may acquire new meanings, or new words enter the language. Recently we have "sus" and "mid" among others. I don't expect "six-seven" will last long.
